TheAccess and Successdepartment at St. Catherine University invites applications for a Director of Access and Success. This is a regular, full-time position.

The Access and Success department offers support and programs to meet the needs of students who are parenting, or any student who is facing a basic needs emergency impacting their ability to access food, housing, medical care, child care, transportation etc. TheDirector of Access and Successwill be responsible for the administration of the department, supervision of social work staff, and budget and fiscal management. Other responsibilities include:

Responsibilities:


  • The development, implementation, and evaluation of department vision and goals
  • Evaluation of services, budgeting and fiscal management
  • Development of policies and procedures
  • Consultation and provision of expertise on student crisis and concerns (including emergency financial need, food insecurity, housing insecurity, student parent support and/or pregnant/parenting students, etc) for department staff and for university faculty, staff, alumnae, students, and parents
  • Participate in divisional and college committee work.
  • Promote department awareness within the campus and external to the university
  • Steward gifts and grants that are applicable for access & success
  • Maintain and improve knowledge base through continuing education
  • Communicate respectfully and build relationships of trust with people of all cultures and abilities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or relevant field
  • Licensed social worker (LSW)
  • Experience leading team of professional social work staff
  • Experience with program development and administration
  • Experience collaborating to write and steward grants
  • Experience managing a budget
  • Strong knowledge of community and public social services programs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in social work or relevant field
  • Experience in a higher education setting or institution,
  • Experience supporting student parents, work with basic needs
  • Experience with grant distribution
