Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time position as Lecturer of Spanish. Appointments will be for one year, beginning August 2021, with the possibility of renewal contingent upon funding and performance.

The teaching load is the equivalent of four courses per semester with the possibility of a course release for curriculum design or administrative support to the Spanish Foundations program. Required qualifications include a Master’s degree in Spanish or a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in Spanish. Must demonstrate interest and excellence in teaching Spanish language and culture at the college level, a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, and the ability to produce creative, innovative pedagogical materials. Experience teaching online is preferred. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish is required. Duties include the promotion of Spanish on campus. Service to the department, college, and university is expected.
