Executive Communications Manager
Location: Moscow
Division/College: University Communications & Marketing
Employee Category: Exempt
Pay Range: $55,885 per year or more, depending on experience and education
Full/Part Time: Full Time
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Executive Director of Communications and Marketing, the Executive Communications Manager is responsible for all aspects of presidential and some additional executive-level communications on university-related matters for both internal and external audiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience writing executive-level messaging, such as speeches, briefings, editorials and/or positioning documents.
- Experience managing executive-level communications, or writing on behalf of an executive for a variety of internal and external purposes.
- Experience tailoring content to a variety of outputs, and audiences.
- Experience writing content for distribution to public audiences either through news media, organizational channels, or online channels.
- Experience managing multiple projects in a complex organization.
- Experience meeting tight deadlines.
- Experience working in a complex organization.
- Experience editing and writing business correspondence using proper grammar and punctuation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, public relations, English, or a communications-related field .
- Experience working in higher education or a complex public organization.
- Experience implementing communications strategy to support organizational growth and/or change.
- Experience in issues management and crisis communications.
- Experience developing and implementing strategies to communicate complex issues to a large organization.
- Experience in project management.
- Demonstrated experience preparing executive communications, particularly speeches.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others on projects and strategy to great effectiveness.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze situations.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize good judgement to communicate effectively.
