Applications are invited for appointment as Full-time / Part-time Research Associate / Research Assistant I in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Ref.: 503930), to commence as soon as possible for one year with the possibility of renewal up to 4 years subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biomedical Science, Biological Science, Medical Sciences, Biotechnology, or related disciplines, preferably with at least one year’s post-qualification experience. Preference will be given to those with previous experience in handling clinical research or clinical trials on pharmaceutical, medical device, biologics, or cell-based products. They should be sensible; mature; attentive to details; able to multitask with good and effective organizational and time management skills; and able to work in a multidisciplinary environment by coordinating among clinicians, scientists, engineers, industries and regulatory agents. They should also have a strong sense of responsibility, good communication and interpersonal skills.

The appointee will be responsible for coordinating clinical trial and related matters; planning for subject recruitment, treatment, assessment and investigation schedules; participating in data collection, entry and organization; conducting questionnaires; administering documentation associated with clinical trial management, ethics submission and regulations; and performing other associated duties as assigned. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits, if applicable. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
