As part of IS&T Integration Services, the Integration Functional Analyst III is responsible for the business and functional analysis of data and applications integrations used to enable Boston University's systems across a wide variety of business functions and technology platforms.

This position is an individual contributor role that will work simultaneously on multiple projects and efforts. An individual in this role will collaborate with other analysts, application developers, architects and/or clients to define and verify integration requirements and data mappings. They will work closely with integration developers on the design of common integration models, clarification of requirements, and verification of unit and system tests. In addition, they will support QA, other analysts, and/or clients in the testing of new or changed integrations.

An ideal candidate will have expertise in requirements gathering and the production of detailed documentation. They will be committed to relationship building with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of an organization. Previous experience with project management is also desirable as this role may take on light project management duties for operational projects. Essential Functions:

Our Functional Analyst will participate on project teams to analyze, functionally design, test and release integrations following business, architectural and/or service requirements. Participation can include providing leadership for other analysts and developers on the project team.

The role will be responsible for writing and building business process documentation, requirements, functional designs, configurations, test plans, and release plans which will align with BU guidelines and standards.

Additionally, members of our team are responsible for supporting integration services. These support activities include incidents, service requests, defects, enhancements, upgrades, patches, and service improvement initiatives. Team members will be aided in investing time to learn and improve skills related to enterprise integration. As a more experienced member of the team, the Functional Analyst will coach and mentor junior staff.
