About the Opportunity:
Reporting to the Associate Director of Program Operations for the Center of Student Involvement, the Assistant Director is responsible for supportingCSI with supervision, CSI Program Operations, Program Management, and New Student Organization Recognition Management.

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Associate Director of Program Operations for the Center of Student Involvement, the Assistant Director is responsible for supportingCSI in the following ways:

Supervision:
The Assistant Director is responsible for supervising the full -time Program Operations Specialist and the Digital Marketing Specialist. These two roles support the entire Center by providing access to systems and guidance on all marketing and branding efforts.

CSI Program Operations:
Contract Management: The Assistant Director is responsible for the management and oversight of the CSI contract process - which involves more than 600 agreements per year. In an effort to ensure a seamless and efficient system, the incumbent consistently reviews the process and makes adjustments based on a variety of considerations and has the authority to alter the process in the best interests of our unit. The Assistant Director will meet regularly with the Office of the General Counsel and others to continuously improve the process for our students and staff. As the lead on contract management, the Assistant Director serves as the final approval for all contracts issued by CSI staff before they are routed for review and signature. As such, the Assistant Director serves on campus-wide committees that are focused on improving this process for everyone.

Program Management: The Assistant Director will serve as
the Program Manager for all student organizations that operate with a maximum annual budget of $10,000 and organize a maximum of 4 programs and events each year. The Assistant Director will consult with groups to help bring their ideas and vision relating to the group's strategic goals and mission to fruition. The Assistant Director will also support the administrative components of student organizations' programming with the use of the online Project Management tool, Monday.com.

New Student Organization Recognition Management: The Assistant Director will facilitate and manage the new student organization recognition process in conjunction with the Student Government Association (SGA) and other campus partners. The Assistant Director will meet with the Student Government Association and other campus partners to improve this process as needed. The Assistant Director will also serve as the primary liaison to the Student Government Association's Student Involvement Board.

Qualifications:
This position requires a bachelor's degree.
Candidates should have a minimum 2 -4 years of professional experience. Previous experience supervising full -time staff is highly preferred. Strong candidates will possess a demonstrated history of systematic and logical thinking with a focus on customer service. The Assistant Director is given key decision-making authority and thus must be comfortable with making autonomous decisions. The Assistant Director must be able to work independently on a fast-paced, global campus and possess a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. The successful candidate must have excellent problem -solving skills and exceptional interpersonal, organizational, verbal/written communication skills as well as demonstrated skills and knowledge in social media platforms and strategies. As a member of the Division of Student Affairs, the Assistant Director will align their work with the established mission, vision, and literacies of the division. Given the unique co-op model and the opportunity for Northeastern students to learn anytime, from anywhere, and with anyone, the Assistant Director will be expected to maintain a flexible schedule to ensure success of the Center's
initiatives.
