Overview



Employment Status: Full-time, At-Will, "Exempt" position, included in the Management Personnel Plan (MPP).

Multiple Vacancies: This recruitment is to fill multiple vacancies.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some evenings and weekend hours may be required.

    Typical Activities

    Job SummaryUnder the general supervision of the Executive Director of Institutional Equity & Compliance, the Equity & Compliance Investigator is responsible for receiving, processing and investigating complaints involving Title IX, DHR, OHR, ADA, and Whistleblower policy (collectively Equity).
    The incumbent will perform entry-level complaint processing, routine investigative work, data collection, interviews, and preparation of draft investigative reports.

    Key Qualifications
    • Working knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to compliance with nondiscrimination laws
      • Including but not limited to: FEHA, the Americans with Disabilities Act, FERPA, Title VII and Title IX.
    • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with administrators, staff, faculty, students and community partners.


    Minimum Qualifications

    Education and Experience
    • Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and three years of related experience required.
    • J.D. or other related Master's Degree preferred.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience working in higher education preferred.
