Position Summary:
The Classroom IT Analyst 1 serves within the Collaboration and Classroom Technology Services Department (CCTS) within Information Technology Services (ITS). The primary focus of this position is to provide technical support for audiovisual (AV) equipment associated with videoconferencing, presentation, and classroom instruction. Duties include providing training and technical assistance to primary support units, administrative support of videoconferencing solutions, and maintenance and installation of classroom AV technologies.

The Classroom IT Analyst 2 serves within the Collaboration and Classroom Technology Services (CCTS) Department within Information Technology Services (ITS). The primary focus of this position is to install and test classroom audiovisual (AV) equipment and provide technical support associated with videoconferencing, presentation, and classroom instruction. Duties include providing training and technical assistance to primary support units, administrative support of videoconferencing solutions, and provide support for design and development of AV solutions.

Salary range, depending on education and experience:

Classroom Analyst 1 - $25.18 to $31.46 per hour
Classroom Analyst 2 - $28.46 to $35.57 per hour


Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Classroom IT Analyst 1
• 1 year of experience in installation of AV technologies
• 1 year of experience in troubleshooting AV technologies
• 1 year of experience in customer support
• Demonstrated experience of general computer skills including business productivity applications and customer management software and knowledge of network configuration

Classroom IT Analyst 2
• 3 years of experience in installation of AV technologies
• 3 years of experience in troubleshooting AV technologies
• 1 year of experience in design and development of AV control systems
• Demonstrated experience of general computer skills including business productivity applications and customer management software and knowledge of network configuration


Preferred Qualifications:
Classroom IT Analyst 1
• Associate degree or higher in a related field
• Experience with commercial interior/spatial design software
• Direct experience supporting classroom and conference room AV technologies in a higher education environment
• Training or troubleshooting experience with classroom and conference room AV technologies
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience with Zoom administrative support
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communications and the ability to communicate to a variety of audiences
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Classroom IT Analyst 2
• Associate degree or higher in a related field
• Experience with commercial interior/spatial design software and user interface design experience
• Direct experience supporting classroom and conference room AV technologies in a higher education environment
• Programming, training, or troubleshooting experience with classroom and conference room AV technologies
• Network Management Systems - UI training
• 1 year of experience with Zoom administration
• Trainings/certifications (the following or equivalents):
Extron - Extron Control Professional
AMX - AMX Technician (Enova)
• Strong customer service skills and excellent organization and attention to detail
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communications and the ability to communicate to a variety of audiences


Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
• Frequently lifts, carries, and/or otherwise moves audiovisual equipment weighing up to 50 pounds indoors and outdoors
• Ability to traverse between buildings, floors within buildings, ladders, and crawl or maneuver in tight places
