About the Opportunity:
The Department of Theatre is looking for a Production Coordinator to oversee all production and design elements of the Department of Theatre's production program.

Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Production Coordinator is responsible for managing, scheduling, and systematizing all production and design elements of the Department of Theatre's production program. The Production Coordinator collaborates with the faculty, staff, and students to achieve the department's artistic and educational goals and ensure the highest production values for all departmental productions.

This is a 40-hour full time benefits eligible 10-month (Mid-July to Mid-May) position.

Working closely with the Chair and the Operations Manager, the Production Coordinator will:
1. Work with Student Activities to schedule dressing rooms and other venue needs in the Curry Student center;
2. Define production schedules and calendars, including deadlines and rehearsal and performance dates and times;
3. Manage the department audition process at the beginning of each semester;
4. Schedule and host bi-monthly production meetings and oversee technical and dress rehearsals for each department production to help insure a collaborative production development process;
5. Contract and communicate with guest artists, including directors, designers, technicians, musical directors, choreographers, and musicians;
6. Serve as the Instructor of Record for the department's production experience courses, working with faculty and staff to assign, supervise, and evaluate students on production crew responsibilities;
7. Contribute up to five modules per semester of specialized training in production skills and related technical areas for Technical Theatre course, taught by a faculty member.
8. Oversee the work of student Master Electricians, Prop Masters, and House Managers, in collaboration with the Operations Manager, Costume Shop Supervisor and Technical Director.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is required, Master's preferred. Previous experience and/or extensive knowledge in stage management, production management, theatrical lighting, theatrical sound, theatrical projections, and/or theatrical properties is strongly preferred. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft and Google suites. Experience with EMS is a bonus. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and gather/analyze information skillfully. Ability to work well under pressure and in group problem-solving situations. Ability to work with students of varying experience levels. Strong verbal communication skills, diplomatic and leadership skills. Teaching experience preferred but not required.
