JOB PURPOSE:

Temporary Phonathon Caller/Ambassador position. Calling to last through May 31 2021.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use internal fundraising software to call alumni, parents, and friends of L&C to renew, increase, and acquire gifts to the Annual Fund.

  • Establish a positive rapport with the alumni you call.

  • Update address and contact information of all alumni.

  • Maintain records of each evening’s calls.

  • Maintain a positive approach while responding to potentially challenging concerns or issues that an alumnus, parent, or friend may bring up.

  • Follow all other procedures and guidelines in the training manual.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all donor information. Information should not be discussed among ambassadors or outside of the building.

  • Other duties as assigned.



QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have prior experience as a Phonathon Ambassador @ Lewis & Clark College

  • This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to maintain positivity and professionalism in high-stress situations, the ability to think strategically in a fast-paced environment, and a genuine affinity for Lewis & Clark College.

  • Effective time management skills are essential. In order to qualify for this position, you must have a willingness to work with others. Working with the Phonathon team is an excellent opportunity to develop your knowledge and expertise in communication, fundraising, and public relations.

  • Ability to work well with team members and constituents who may have differing or opposing views.





SCHEDULE:

  • Shifts are available Monday-Thursday 5:00pm-8:45pm and Sunday 4:00pm-7:45pm.

  • Ambassadors are asked to commit 11.25 hours (3 shifts) per week, but no less than 7.5 hours (2 shifts) per week.

  • Subject to change based on social distancing orders



RATE OF PAY:

  • $13.50/hour

Eligibility to Work

In order to comply with US Homeland Security Department regulations, all employees must complete an I-9 form in Workday prior to or no later than the first day of work and bring originals (no photocopies) of their supporting documentation to Human Resources no later than the 3rd business day of employment. Failure to have a completed I-9 form on file with the College will result in immediate termination of employment.
