Ca’ Foscari invites applications for a tenure-track position for an Assistant Professor in the area of Analytical Chemistry

Ca’ Foscari is looking for a researcher of Analytical Chemistry capable of inspiring students to become game-changers in their own fields and to make a genuine difference in the world.

The researcher will be engaged in teaching activities on topics related to the academic discipline, both in bachelor and master degree courses as well as in the PhD programme, including laboratory educational activities.

In particular:

-           Advanced analytical methods for cultural heritage materials (72 hours); Master Degree in Conservation Science and Technology for Cultural Heritage;

-           The Anthropocene: detection and attribution of current climate changes in a global perspective (30 hours); Master Degree in Environmental Humanities

The educational activity may vary during the following years in agreement with the program changes planned and approved by the department.

The scientific activity will concern the development and application of analytical methodologies for the qualitative-quantitative determination and speciation of trace and ultratrace elements in biological and environmental matrices and in the field of cultural heritage, using inorganic mass spectrometry and coupled techniques. Expertise is also required in the determination of inorganic markers for climate and environmental contamination studies.

The position is at the Department of Environmental Sciences, Informatics and Statistics.

The Department is engaged in multidisciplinary research, carried out by brilliant researchers in the fields of environmental systems analysis, management and modelization of environmental and informatic systems, climate studies, complexity, preservation of cultural heritage and sustainability.
