Position Introduction
The Department of Computer Science at Vassar College invites applications for a two-year position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor to begin in the Fall semester of 2021.

Position Description
A commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and research is expected. A Ph.D., ABD, or equivalent experience in Computer Science is required by the start of the fall semester. Strong candidates in all areas of Computer Science are encouraged to apply. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory, intermediate, and upper level courses. The expected teaching load will be one lab course and one non-lab course per semester.

Vassar College has a strong undergraduate program in Computer Science, with a history going back to 1963. The department is housed within Vassar's Integrated Science Commons. Introductory courses are taught using Scheme, Java and Python. The department maintains Linux laboratories for introductory and advanced instruction.
