Description
The University of Washington Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology is seeking a full-time academic Anatomic Pathologist with subspecialty expertise in Breast Pathology with appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor, without tenure due to funding, pending experience and qualifications. The University of Washington in collaboration with the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) has strong clinical programs in breast cancer treatment and serves as a major referral center across the WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho) region. University of Washington faculty embrace a vision of excellence, collaboration and integrity. All UW faculty engage in teaching, research and service.
This is a 12 month service period [July 1-June 30], full-time position that is open until filled with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2021 but is flexible.

Candidates must have an M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent, and should be Board eligible/certified in Anatomic Pathology by date of appointment. Must qualify for a license to practice medicine in Washington state.
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or foreign equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
