Assistant Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience, Tenure-track position in Psychology to begin August 1, 2021.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability and interest in teaching undergraduate neuroscience and a two-semester research methods/statistics course. Teaching responsibilities will include psychopharmacology, introduction to neuroscience, and experimental psychology courses in the candidate’s area of specialty. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in teaching research methods and statistics and one of the following courses: psychology of learning, sensation and perception, or animal behavior.
Ph.D. preferred but ABDs considered. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to develop a research program, working with the IACUC and/or IRB, that can be sustained at an undergraduate institution where there are possibilities for research support. Involvement and mentorship of undergraduate students in research is expected. Teaching experience preferred and candidates should be firmly committed to high quality undergraduate teaching. Some teaching of evening or online classes is required.
