Description

The Department of Accounting in the McCombs School of Business seeks to hire a full time, non-tenure track faculty member with demonstrated potential for excellence in university teaching as well as demonstrated potential for excellence in leadership and management.

The courses taught in this position emphasize teaching incoming and graduate Master of Professional Accounting students about the accounting profession.

This position includes an administrative appointment related to management of the Master in Professional Accounting (MPA) Program office. This includes the supervision of the advising and career function for MPA students as well as interacting with and managing the Department's relationships with members of the accounting profession.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Candidates for this position should hold a graduate degree, preferably in accounting, and should have several years of practical experience in an accounting workplace. Professional certification is preferred. The candidate should also have excellent communication skills and demonstrable management or leadership skills.

Field of Specialization: Financial Accounting, managerial accounting, or auditing.
