This is a full-time Clinical Instructor position in the Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Sugery section with the Department of Surgical Sciences. This position will be part of a current team of two AVDC diplomates and three residents providing clinical service to the dentistry and oral surgery section within the Small Animal Hospital of UW Veterinary Care on the UW Madison Campus.  The annual case load for the small animal hospital is over 24,000 patients with 4-5 dental and /or orofacial procedures performed daily.

 

Qualifications: DVM or equivalent. Advanced training in dentistry and oral surgery required.  Board certified or board eligible in the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC) or European Veterinary Dental College (EVDC) is necessary. Must maintain a Wisconsin license to practice veterinary medicine

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Patient care, instruction and supervision of veterinary students, interns, and residents, consultation with referring veterinarians, clients, and other services within the hospital.  This position will participate in clinical teaching of veterinary students, interns and residents.  Opportunities to undertake research are available and encouraged.
