The Department of Education, Counseling and Leadership in the College of Education and Health Sciences invites applications for a full-time, one-year, Assistant Professor in Residence position in Teacher Education. The position requires an earned Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, or a closely related field. The starting date for the position is August 2021.

 

Qualified applicants must have a teaching license and P-12 classroom teaching experience.  Preference will be given to applicants who have a background in Literacy Education. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: teaching undergraduate courses, advising students, attending department and college meetings and committees as appropriate, and supervision of teacher candidates in their field experiences. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

The ECL department offers undergraduate programs in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Middle School Education, High School Education, K-12 Education, and Special Education (Learning Behavior Specialist I).
