JOB SUMMARY:
Clemson University is accepting applications in its search for the Director of Undergraduate Admissions. The Director of Undergraduate will serve as the Chief Admissions Officer and is responsible for managing the University's undergraduate admissions processes to achieve the University's objectives. In addition, this position will provide efficient and effective customer service, maintain a strong marketing and recruitment plan to attract the top high school graduates, and ensure the diversity and land grant mission of the University is upheld. The role cultivates a large pool of qualified freshmen and transfer admission applicants and selects the optimum number of candidates to meet the University's enrollment needs and diversity goals. This position also works in coordination with the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management to design freshman and transfer admission targets, admission standards, and yield projections.
Job Duties
University Admission Process: Cultivates a large pool of qualified freshmen and transfer admission applicants. Selects the optimum number of candidates to meet the University's enrollment needs and diversity goals. Produces optimal yield of special target groups, such as minority and high-ability students. Works in coordination with the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management to design freshman and transfer admission targets, admission standards, and yield projections.
Marketing and Outreach: Works with University Relations to most effectively market Clemson University to prospective students and their families. Communicates effectively with faculty, staff, alumni, trustees, the media, State and Federal officials, high schools, community colleges, and national peer colleagues. Manages and provides leadership for visit and event services for prospective students, their families, and school counselors. Represents the unit on university committees.
Data Analysis Management: Understands and has the ability to analyze market trends, status of competitors, and technologies that impact university admissions.
Enrollment Management: Serves on the core team for the Enrollment Management unit, offering solid input, strategic direction, and constructive foresight on all issues related to enrollment at Clemson.
Management and Budget: Effectively manages the Admissions staff and budget by providing support, recruitment, training, guidance, and mentoring to direct and indirect reports.

Education
- Minimum: Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred: Master's Degree
Experience
- Minimum: 7 years of documented leadership in higher education admissions or enrollment management
- Preferred: 10+ years of documented leadership in higher education admissions or enrollment management
