The SAP Functional Analyst will help design and configure Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, and other components to meet the business requirements from HR, Provost office, Budget office, and ENSA.

  • Provide expertise for HCM functions with Production support, service requests, defects/issues, prioritized enhancements, and projects, especially for Student Employment.
  • Participate in a lead or support role in testing the assigned functions for new functionality, regression testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing.
  • The ideal candidate should possess business analyst skills to be able to collect requirements and synthesize them for development and implementation.
  • Should be familiar with ERP and have knowledge of HR and Payroll business processes and functions, specifically in the area of Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, and other areas such as Time and Benefits.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP is highly desired. Familiarity with the latest testing tools would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of IT processes and tools around service management, such as ServiceNow, is desired.
  • Exposure to cloud-based applications and integration tools is helpful.
  • Understand how applications support business processes and apply this knowledge to solve defined business problems.
  • Design and deliver high quality solutions through system configuration that meets overall business requirements.
  • Interface with Developers on technical requirements and testing. Design, document, and implement unit, integration, regression, and parallel test plans.
  • Interface with business process owners to facilitate process improvement and develop new functionality.
  • Develop documentation for systems and processes and effectively transfer knowledge to the business owners for ongoing support.

Required Skills

  • Bachelors degree required
  • At least 8 years of related experience
  • SAP background, strong analytical, communication, writing skills, supervisory skills, and working independently.
  • Project/process management desirable.
