MARSHALL B. KETCHUM UNIVERSITY

President & Chief Executive Officer

Marshall B. Ketchum University invites nominations and applications for the position of President and Chief Executive Officer.

Marshall B. Ketchum University and its Board of Trustees looks for the next president to succeed President Kevin L. Alexander and will have the opportunity to build on the growth and momentum established during his 14-year tenure. Marshall B. Ketchum desires a dynamic, forward thinking leader prepared to assume the Presidency upon Dr. Alexander’s retirement in June of 2022. Our next president must be visionary, collaborative, bring a track record of established leadership and be prepared to enthusiastically represent the University and its mission.

Built upon the century-old legacy of the Southern California College of Optometry, Marshall B. Ketchum University was founded in 2013 with the addition of the School of Physician Assistant Studies and College of Pharmacy. The University stands as a unique graduate level health care institution with a mission to educate caring, inspired health care professionals, prepared to deliver collaborative, patient-centric health care in interprofessional environments.

Approximately 700 students are enrolled in the three fully accredited programs, awarding the degrees of Doctor of Optometry, Doctor of Pharmacy, Master of Science in Vision Science, and Master of Medical Science.

Marshall B. Ketchum University is located in Southern California and is housed across two campuses. The main campus in Fullerton, California houses the didactic and laboratory activities for all three academic programs. The Anaheim campus accommodates an 80,000 square foot building known as Ketchum Health which houses the University Eye Center Anaheim, the Family Medicine Clinic, a Pharmacy research laboratory and faculty and administrative offices. The University Eye Center Anaheim serves as the main teaching clinic for the College of Optometry. The University also operates an additional eye care clinic, known as the University Eye Center Los Angeles which serves patients of the downtown area.

The search committee is chaired by MBKU Board of Trustees Chair, Richard S. Price II, JD.
