SUMMARY:

The Manager of Administrative, Financial & Technical Services (MAFTS) assists and supports the Senior Director of Administrative, Financial & Technical Services in all aspects of the operations of the School of Professional & Continuing Studies (SPCS). This includes administrative, financial, and technical services along with supervision of employees and student workers. The MAFTS supports the SPCS in: compliance, contracts, risk management, human resources, regulatory adherence, finances, computer systems and software, data analysis, accounting, grants accounting and reporting. This position maintains all contracts, financial reports, and administrative and technical services policies and procedures manuals. Responsible for all SPCS accounting functions including audits, reconciliations, budgets, and financial reports. Oversees the life-cycle of grants and grants accounting.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or other appropriate area required
  • MBA or Master's degree in appropriate field preferred
  • Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • CPA with one or more years of work experience preferred
  • If no CPA credential, 5 years of related financial, budget, or administrative work experience preferred
  • Higher education work experience preferred
  • Prefer work experience in auditing and internal controls
  • Prefer work experience in financial reporting and statements
  • Prefer work experience with financial, administrative, and human resources procedures and regulations
  • Prefer work experience delivering excellent customer service to all constituents, internal and external
WORK HOURS:
  • Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., 7.75 hrs./day; 38.75 hrs./week; flexibility required, occasional evening and/or weekend work

SALARY STRUCTURE: Pay Grade 6 (Hiring Range $44,775.00 to $59,325.00 annually)
