Position Summary:

An FPRC Researcher serves as a scientific resource within the FPRC, a core retinal imaging lab founded in 1970 to support NIH-funded clinical trials. The FPRC remains a leader in retinal imaging labs worldwide and has an expanded scope of sponsors including global pharmaceutical companies, artificial intelligence software companies, Department of Defense and academic institutions. With over 50 current contracts, there is a critical need for a researcher to provide scientific imaging guidance to sponsors on retinal imaging procedures and retinal image analyses.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelors degree required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Required - Extensive knowledge of retinal imaging systems and retinal grading protocols.
Required - Experience writing research protocols.
Required - Experience with image evaluation for the following retinal conditions: geographic atrophy, neovascular macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, diabetic macular edema, retinal vein occlusion, uveitis and inherited retinal diseases.
