Position Summary:

The Laryngeal Physiology Lab in the Division of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, within the UW-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health is looking to recruit a full-time Research Specialist to assist in research in the area of voice analysis and help manage student projects. An ideal candidate will be a recent graduate from a biology or engineering-related major, and have an interest in going to medical school. An ideal candidate will also have strong problem-solving skills. This is a great opportunity to get involved with all aspects of research and for students to improve their resume and application to medical or graduate schools!

Degree and Area of Specialization:

BA or BS required.
Biomedical Engineering, Biology, or related field, preferred.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Required:
1-2 years of under graduate or post graduate research experience in a laboratory setting or design project work (BME Design)

Preferred:
Familiarity with human subject and animal testing
Previously published manuscripts
Experience with NIH-style grant-writing
