Applications are invited for the appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Building Information Modelling (BIM)-based Automation and Virtual Reality (VR) in the Department of Real Estate and Construction (Ref.:503967) of the Faculty of Architecture, to commence as soon as possible, for a period of two years.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in the field of Construction, Architectural and Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or other related disciplines. They should have proficiency in written and spoken English, comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of BIM-based automation and VR in building development, including design, construction, and/or post-occupancy management, a track record of peer-reviewed publications, and the ability to work independently and as a team. Those with experience in managing multidisciplinary research projects, and a track record of publication in BIM, VR, or related smart research areas, and skills in using customized BIM development tools are preferred.

The appointee will assist in planning, managing, coordinating, and implementing related research projects within the University and internationally, including drafting reports, manuscripts, and research grants applications, and conducting research with the professional sector and authorities. He/She will be responsible for supervising Research Assistant(s) and perform other relevant tasks as assigned. Enquiries can be sent to Dr. Isabelle Chan (iyschan@hku.hk).
