Requirements:  The Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Success works closely with the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs in providing leadership for student success, persistence and retention efforts as well as management and day-to-day oversight of selected units in the Division of Academic Affairs. The position requires strong leadership, interpersonal and administrative skills, with broad knowledge of administrative and leadership functions including strategic and operational planning, budgeting, human resource management in a shared governance environment, student advisement and outcomes assessment, faculty, staff and student development, program planning and curriculum development, and deep understanding and appreciation for diversity. This position will also assist the Provost and Vice Chancellor with ensuring the institutional effectiveness of the division including accreditation, assessment, planning, budgeting, linking budget to goals, and use of assessment results in decision making and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:  A Doctorate or terminal degree is required, with a minimum of five years of academic experience in higher education.  Experience in student retention and persistence is preferred. Individuals with a record of success in teaching, research, and service preferred.
