Position Information

This is a full-time, permanent (probationary) position.

Conditions of Employment

Possession of a valid Driver's License is required. Employees in this position will be enrolled in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Government Employer Pull Notice Program which confirms possession of a valid driver's license and reflects driving record.

Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.

The salary range for this classification is $3,897 - $7,051 monthly.

Major Duties

Under the general direction of the Senior Director, Risk Management and Internal Controls, the Compliance Program Analyst will provide a full range of work related to the administration of campus compliance programs which includes; the campus insurance program, defensive driver, Clery, international travel, and special events. Campus insurance programs include but are not limited to general liability, motor vehicle, property, travel, fine art, student liability, special events, drone and cyber insurance. The incumbent will review department programs, provide training, processing requests. Complete complex tasks involving data formatting and presentations. The incumbent will provide general administration support to the department and respond to e-mail correspondence, updating websites and web forms.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

Education: bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training.

Experience: At least three (3) years of administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Working knowledge of compliance programs and ability to research and review regulations.
Ability to interpret regulations and apply fundamental concepts to compliance programs.
Ability to gather data and apply basic analysis.
Ability to compile , write, and present reports.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite applications.
Ability to analyze and work with complex data, attention to detail.
Excellent writing and general communication skills, ability to learn the use of a wide range of software applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field and at least 5 years experience in a similar analyst role.

Special Working Conditions:

Operate a personal vehicle for University business, operate a golf cart for University business, use standard office equipment such as network printers and computers.

Responsibilities

50% Compliance Program Administration

Program administrator for all campus insurance programs. Research policy and work with campus constituents to obtain the required documentation for the campus insurance program. Review and approve requests, submit to an insurance broker for coverage and provide safety training. Use data to analyze, develop and recommend premium cost reduction initiatives. Ensures accuracy of special event insurance that provides coverage for groups using campus space for events. Evaluate and determine the necessary paperwork required and ensures compliance with guidelines for campus events. Enroll campus employees into the DMV Employee Pull Notice (EPN) program. Monitor submissions from the DMV and assign training as needed to eligible employees. Communicate to the general campus and verify compliance.

25% Clery Director Coordinator

Program Coordinator for Clery Compliance Team (CCT) and provide administrative support to team and campus Clery Director. Track and organize submitted cases for Clery Director review and forward to University Police Department (UPD) for inclusion in daily log Review policies and update Campus Security Authority (CSA) campus list. Assign mandatory training to each and verify completion/acknowledgment. Develop and recommend solutions including technology ones that improve program outcomes and effectiveness. Research regulation changes and updates CCT and website

20% Audits and Internal Controls

Notify departments of Chancellor's Office audits and schedule entrance/exit conferences. Gather requested documentation and upload to CO website. Develop and recommend process re-engineering initiatives that improve client department effectiveness and outcomes. Assist departments with the implementation of the initiatives Ensure departments meet remediation timelines to ensure timely submissions.
