Assistant or Associate Professor of Kinesiology and Health Studies

Southeastern Louisiana University Department of Kinesiology and Health Studies invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor available for Fall 2021.

Instructional responsibilities will support the undergraduate degree in Health and Physical Education, and the master’s degree in Health and Kinesiology degree. Anticipated courses to be taught include methods of teaching physical education, measurement/assessment, supervision of student teachers, motor development, and/or adapted physical education.

Other duties include advising, providing service to the department, university, and community; and engaging in professional and scholarly activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have a doctorate degree in Physical Education/Kinesiology or closely related field. Experience teaching physical education in K-12 schools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Expertise in physical education pedagogy and adapted physical education, university teaching experience; and evidence of scholarly productivity.
