Position Summary:

This position will lead research efforts to innovate and pilot new mass spectrometry technology. The person in this role will identify research problems, designs complex research methodologies, performs research, and prepares and/or presents results for presentation to professional organizations or for scholarly publications to help advance research.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Ph.D. in biomolecular chemistry or related field is required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Experience with Thermo Fisher Scientific mass spectrometers, liquid chromatography systems and their associated software required.

At least one year experience with sample preparation for analysis by mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography required.

The individual filling this position should possess the following capabilities:
- Expertise in analytical separation techniques
- Expertise in the informatic analysis of mass spectrometry data
- Proven ability to move a project from inception to publication
- Proven project leadership and management experience
