Looking for a qualified candidate who would teach in-person, hybrid, and online undergraduate courses in the Fine Arts program. This is a full-time position with a 12-month contract with benefits. The successful candidate will teach a maximum of four classes during regular semesters and one course during the summer.

Responsibilities: 

Teach undergraduate courses within the Graphic Design area.
Courses include (but are not limited to):

  • Design Center Internship (FINA S305)
  • Digital Art: Survey & Practice (FINA-D 210)
  • Typography (FINA-S 351)
  • Web Design (FINA-S323)

The successful candidate is someone who has worked in the industry and has experience in running a design agency, dealing with clients, account management, printing and production. In particular, the individual hired for the position will serve as the manager of the Design Center to prepare our students for internship and to be career-ready upon completion of their studies by working directly with local or regional businesses.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field required, MFA Preferred.

The candidate should have a Graphic Design interdisciplinary focus related to professional design agency, branding, marketing, and time-based media background or training.  Experience in offering design services to the community and software training in Adobe Creative Suite (such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign), Web Design (such as html5 and CSS); and video editing software (Adobe Premiere)
