The Burnett Honors College (BHC) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) https://honors.ucf.edu/ is seeking to hire a Mentor, Teaching, Research Post-Doctoral Fellow (MTR Fellow). This position requires a Ph. D. from an accredited institution within the last five years. Position Responsibilities

The MTR Post-Doc Fellow will teach 4 courses in the calendar year; developing a workshop series, co-mentoring of Honors College undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds and disciplines with the goal of promoting each student’s academic, professional and personal development; engaging in strategic planning and visioning for creative initiatives to support postgraduate pathways for Honors students; and actively pursuing research and/or creative scholarship in their area of expertise, including research collaboration with honors students.

Fellow will teach Honors seminars in their field of expertise as well as develop seminars or workshops on graduate school and career preparation and success. Fellows will have the opportunity to team teach Honors seminars.

Supervision and mentorship will be provided by the dean and senior associate dean of the college. The fellow will be engaged team members of the Burnett Honors College, and they will have daily access to the dean’s office.

In addition to the Burnett Honors College, the fellow will be connected to the myriad of resources for teaching and advising across campus and will be invited to participate in these communities. These include FCTL, Career Services, Experiential Learning, Undergraduate Research, and the Advisors Council.  The fellows will be introduced to UCF faculty in their discipline to support their scholarly activity.
