Job Summary
Assists with the solid waste and recycling programs on campus by servicing waste recycling containers and other receptacles inside and outside university buildings.
Essential Functions
Assists with the monitoring of solid waste and recycling containers such as but not limited to dumpsters, compactors and other receptacles. Operates automotive equipment to deliver materials and to remove waste containers from University grounds. Removes and replaces recycling and waste bins when necessary. Performs custodial tasks and handles emergency cleaning, solid waste/recycling issues within building services. Keeps areas around dumpsters and waste drop off points clean and in neat order. Works with custodians, groundskeepers, movers, and others who typically handle solid waste materials.
