Duties and Responsibilities

-PhD and/or MD degree
-Molecular cloning and animal work experience (mouse models) are encouraged but not necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This is a postdoc position. The candidate will develop blood stem cell expansion technique supported by an active NHLBI award. He/she will use in vitro culture system to identify sport cells and soluble factors to improve the in vitro expansion efficiency of blood stem cells. The candidate will develop novel 2D and 3D co-cultures for blood stem cells. He or she will also produce novel protein cytokines using bacterial or mammalian cells. These cytokines will be tested for blood stem cell expansion.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
PhD and/or MD degree. Strong experience in 2D and 3D cell culture techniques, and experience using HPLC and LC-MS in protein extraction/purification are required. Molecular cloning and animal work experience is preferred.
