The Loyola University Chicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing ( MNSON ) invites applications for a Family Nurse Practitioner faculty position. This is a non-tenure track position with an appointment at the Clinical Assistant Professor rank or higher.

The MNSON enrolls over 1400 students across three sites and includes 71 full-time faculty. Programs include a BSN degree with 4 study options, a MSN degree in nursing and healthcare administration, a DNP degree with tracks for preparation in nurse practitioner and clinical nurse specialist roles, and a PhD in Nursing degree. The Family Nurse Practitioner track includes an optional specialization in emergency care.

Within the context of the Loyola University Chicago and MNSON missions, visions, values, and strategic initiatives, the faculty member will:

•Teach in MNSON programs as appropriate to expertise and program needs.
•Employ a variety of teaching/learning strategies in classroom, online, laboratory, and clinical settings.
•Collaborate with faculty on curriculum and course planning, improvement, and evaluation.
•Develop and disseminate scholarship that advances nursing practice and education.
•Engage in service activities consistent with the mission and strategic vision of the MNSON, University, and nursing profession.
•Contribute to the MNSON and University goals for inclusive excellence and antiracism.

Candidates for the Family Nurse Practitioner faculty position will possess:

•Doctoral degree in nursing or related field
•Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
•Eligibility for Advanced Practice Nurse ( APN ) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse- Full Practice Authority ( APRN - FPA ) licensure in the State of Illinois
•Clinical expertise as a Family Nurse Practitioner
•Potential to establish and maintain a program of scholarship, consistent with the expectations of rank

• Future plans: Describe how you plan to contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the MNSON including activities you would pursue and how they would fit into your teaching, scholarship, and service.
