Position Category: Staff - Full-Time

Summary:
UVU Executive Education is seeking a dynamic leader to help create, run and market leadership programs and certifications designed for business, government and non-profit leaders, managers and professionals.
This position reports to the Director of Executive Education and is responsible for delivering best-in-class, high quality, profitable non-credit programs relevant to the regional workforce. Programs include face-to-face, virtual and hybrid courses, workshops, conferences and events at our Orem, Lehi, Wasatch, and other campuses, as well as numerous online offerings, and custom program for corporate and industry partners. Program participants are working adults, ranging from middle to senior managers and C-Suite leaders, looking for short-term, intensive training that provides skill enhancement and/or career advancement opportunities. This position is located on the Lehi Campus at Thanksgiving Point. Occasional travel to clients, other campuses, and/or to local events is required, when gatherings are permissible.

Major responsibilities include the following:

Strategic Activities - Assists in the strategic planning, evaluation, and assessment of Executive Education programming. Supports team, division, UVU departments across campus, and satellite location growth opportunities. Participates in community outreach and economic development efforts, including attending external meetings, tradeshows, conferences, and local chamber events to build relationships, identifying workforce and client needs, and building the UVU and Executive Education brands.

Program Development & Execution Activities - Develops and designs premium, engaged learning experience programs that serve local, regional, national, and international student's and custom program client's needs. Creates market-priced, competitive offerings, and manages program budgets to achieve revenue / profit targets. Leads the recruitment, assignment and retention of high-quality instructors and experts, collaborating with other departments across campus, and with external partners and individuals. Manages and leverages department systems, applications, processes, facilities, logistics and other resources, and coordinates with other staff members to meet technical, policy, and reporting requirements. Assists with grants and contract management and ensures contract compliance and terms fulfillment.

Revenue Generation & Marketing Activities - Participates in identifying and creating successful and profitable custom programming for corporate clients and industry partners. Collaborates with Marketing on the design and development of marketing and program materials, drives social media and email campaigns, ensures that scheduled programs carry by filling them with students, and drives ongoing and future program growth and success.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years experience related to the summary of duties, or a combination of education and work totaling 5 years.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge and experience in the evaluation, development, and management of executive and professional development programs, education courses, certifications, trainings, workshops, webinars, etc.;
  • Knowledge and experience in continuing, community and adult education programs, policies, and procedures;
  • Knowledge and experience in selling, account management, and marketing business and training programs, particularly to industry, including customized programs;
  • Knowledge and experience in general business, management, project management, communications, accounting, customer management, and customer service systems and practices;
  • Skill in problem solving, decision making, innovation, and entrepreneurship;
  • Skill in office management, project management, and productivity applications, including Microsoft Office, MS Teams, Zoom, Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.). Experience with Salesforce, Canvas, and/or Fonteva, a plus;
  • Skill in professional verbal / speaking, written, presentation and interpersonal communication;
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with the public, including leading and fostering professional and positive working relationships with students, instructors, community / business leaders, support staff and other stakeholders to communicate program objectives and project a positive image for the University and department, including among groups with competing interests;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, follow directions, and be highly detail oriented, self-directed and proactive when accomplishing assignments; and
  • Ability to manage sensitive information in a discrete and confidential manner.


Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in higher education a plus.


Physical Requirements:
Consistently sitting as with an office environment. Use of fine-hand manipulation associated with the use of a computer. Some light lifting and bending may be required.

Pay Range: $35,568 - $42,914
