Position Summary:
The Scholarship Office is responsible for the oversight of the campus scholarship program including the monitoring of funding levels, coordinating the award process, and advising students and families regarding related issues. This position requires the employee to provide financial information, counseling and financial management advice to parents and to new and returning students. The position also requires the individual to work with the University Foundation in the establishment of departmental and organizational scholarships and coordinates the processing and recordkeeping of aid admissions scholarships.


Minimum Education:
•Bachelor’s degree is required.
•Master’s degree is preferred.


Minimum Experience:
Two years of directly related experience.

Job Functions:
Determines the amount of money to be expended for various scholarship types and how to best publicize and promote these scholarships.
Ensure that the department is in NCAA compliance by possessing a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and disseminating any related information to department staff.
Oversees the recording, coordination, review, and delivery of scholarship applications and awards.
Supervise and manage professional staff and student workers.
Serves as liaison with state, federal, and other scholarship funding agencies; keeps abreast of emerging and developing scholarship opportunities.
Assists with local area high school recruiting and attends evening financial aid and scholarship program presentations to high schools, junior colleges and community colleges.
Develops services and strategies for recruiting and retaining students and assists in making decisions related to enrollment strategies.
Supports the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned.
