Job Summary/Basic Function:

Reports to Director, Small Business Development Center and is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Advises and assist small business clients to develop business and marketing plans;
  • Helps clients with financial management programs;
  • Helps clients create and/or enhance online presence through a business website and digital marketing strategies;
  • Presents seminars on small business topics;
  • Supports the student success initiatives of the department;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Marketing, Computer Science and/or a related business fields;
  • Five (5) years of experience owning or managing a small business;
  • Expertise in banking, finance, and/or accounting is preferred;
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, Desktop, and QuickBooks Online;
  • Experience in public relations, marketing, quality control, inventory management, and/or manufacturing;
  • Advanced computer/Internet skills, including web design, blogging, ecommerce and social media;
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication (oral and written) skills;
  • Strong problem solving, decision making, project management, and time management skills;
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus;
  • Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institution;
