Health Systems Management and Policy Faculty

The Oregon Health & Science University and Portland State University School of Public Health in Portland, OR invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track position for the Fall of 2021 to teach primarily in the Master of Public Health: Health Management and Policy program. We seek a faculty colleague with broad expertise in health systems management and policy, with the ability to teach in several areas related to health services delivery, organization, and ethics. Additional expertise or professional experience in cognate areas such as research design, financial management, program evaluation and/or health law is an asset. We are seeking candidates who are prepared to contribute to our commitment to social justice, equity, diversity and inclusion in education. The position is a nine-month, non-tenure track, renewable appointment (probationary leading to continuous appointment) at Portland State University.

Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:

• Earned doctorate in health services management, health systems, health policy, public health, or related discipline
• Demonstrated competence in teaching graduate students in health services delivery, organization, and ethics; optional additional expertise in research design, financial management, program evaluation and/or health law
• Developing or demonstrated history of use of community-based learning strategies through engagement and collaboration with community organizations.

The Health Systems Management and Policy (HSMP) programs offer the Master of Public Health: Health Management and Policy and the PhD in Health Systems and Policy within the CEPH-accredited OHSU-PSU School of Public Health. The MPH:HMP is also accredited by CAHME. HSMP faculty also contribute to a growing undergraduate concentration in health services administration that is within the SPH’s BA/BS in Public Health Studies program.
