The Program Evaluation and Data Analytics degree program in the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions at Arizona State University is seeking part-time, non-tenure track Faculty Associate for the 2021-2022 year to assist with teaching in the graduate-level courses. We seek to attract an active, culturally and academically diverse pool of applicants who will deliver online lectures, administer assignments and exams, evaluate and grade student work, and hold virtual office hours to assist students. Faculty Associate positions are hired on a one-semester basis, renewable contract with loads that do not exceed .40 FTE (equivalent to two 3-credit classes per semester). The position is a non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure eligibility. The number of courses is contingent upon unit needs, funding and sufficient enrollment. Salary is based upon qualifications and assigned teaching load. Individuals employed as Faculty Associates may not hold multiple, non-benefits eligible appointments at Arizona State University.
- Terminal degree OR a Master’s degree plus five years of professional experience in data analytics, public policy, evaluation, research, education, or evidence-based management roles.
- Experience with R or a related language (Python, SAS, Stata, etc.).
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Proficiency with GitHub and Markdown.
- Demonstrated evidence of higher education and/or online teaching experience.
- Demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and student success as well as working with broadly diverse student populations.
- Evidence of collaboration skills.
- Experience with technology/course management systems.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
