General summary/purpose:

The Department of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine seeks a Ryan White (RW) Part D Clinical Quality Management (CQM) Analyst. Responsibilities include the collection, analysis, feedback, and reporting of RW performance data. This employee will use HIV-related demographic, clinical, and health care utilization data to monitor the epidemic trends. This employee will also conduct regular data analysis to validate clinical quality management data for RW providers within JH-WICY Partnership. They will be responsible for researching, designing, and overseeing the implementation of QA projects. The Analyst will create and maintain systems to support quality improvement (QI) initiatives including collaborating with program and administrative staff, current and potential partners, and the interdepartmental quality management committee in the development of an integrated HIV/AIDS data system, conduct site visits, audits and program evaluation, implement pilot projects and provide technical assistance and evaluation to HIV sites. Also, the QA Coordinator is responsible for assisting with grant writing and reporting.

Specific duties & responsibilities:

    Ensure quality of healthcare and supportive services meet or exceed professionally recognized HRSA/HAB standards Interface with a diverse range of clinical and administrative professionals to resolve sometimes complex policy and service issues, directs data analytic reporting activities, and ensures compliance with our grantee's reporting deadlines. Develop and implement systems, policies, and procedures to identify, collect, and analyze performance measurement data. Provide programmatic updates, including feedback on quality measures Analyze outcome data for all RW-funded services and assist in generating performance feedback reports. Develop and implement a quality management system for services funded through the Ryan White CARE Act. Cultivate relationships and travel to our sub-grantee sites for CQM reviews and assistance to these agencies regarding compliance to RW/HAB standards of care. Provide clinical HIV education and updates related to the Women, Infant, Children, Youth (WICY) population, our agency, our sub-grantees, community agencies, and stakeholders. Assist in the implementation of systems-level quality improvement activities, including needs assessments, landscape analyses, and including data to care Analyze Ryan White CQM data using Statistical Analysis Software (SAS) or other statistical software Develop proficiency with CAREWare, the RW data entry system, including the ability to query and generate reports Other duties as assigned

Minimum qualifications (mandatory):

    Master's degree in a related discipline. 1-year related experience. Require highly specialized advanced knowledge, education and/or training in a specialized field of study to conduct research. Demonstrated ability on a significant graduate project or additional doctoral education may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred qualifications:

    Data or quality management experience in a clinical setting preferred Two years of experience in data extraction and analysis using statistical software STATA/SASSAS and MS Excel Typically require PhD.

    Requires personal means of transportation to execute job duties KnowledgeofHIPAArequirementsandhumansubjectstrainingisrequired. Experience in developing long-term quality assurance goals, priorities, and performance standards reports Experience in performance improvement, quality, and patient safety Principles and practices of quality management, quality improvement, and quality assurance principles in a public health care setting Knowledge of the Ryan White Care Act, Service Categories, and Standards of Care Current trends, research, and issues in treatment and prevention related to QA/QM/QI in a public health care system. Extensive knowledge of MS Office Suite Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively as part of a team Statistical analysis skills Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
