The Division of Enrollment Management and Student Success (EMSS) is seeking an Associate Director for Student Financial Services. The Associate Director for Student Financial Services – FA Systems will work in a fast-paced team environment and supervises one direct report to support the recruitment and retention efforts of Xavier University. Under direction of the Director of Student Financial Services and as member of the SFS leadership team, the position assists in the planning, organizing and supervision of the Student Financial Services Office, with primary responsibility of oversight of all software applications and processes used by the SFS staff. This person manages information technology support for Student Financial Services (SFS) which administers student financial assistance programs including scholarships, grants, loans and student work programs. Support services include new system testing, information processing operations and liaison with campus and external IT support organizations. As an Ellucian Banner institution, the Associate Director will serve as SFS Banner Financial Aid expert on Ellucian’s delivered, baseline, and customized Banner products including financial aid management system (FAM), Self Service and Document Management functionality, and enterprise scheduling tools to process, package and delivery financial aid to several cohorts of students.

Qualifications and Experience : The successful candidate will be attentive to detail and have the ability to function in a multi-tasked environment. The successful candidate will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse community of students, faculty, and other staff members. Experience using Banner or other equivalent student information system is essential. A bachelor’s degree and three to five years of prior experience working in Student Financial Aid is required. A master’s degree preferred.
