Serve as the initial contact person for all prospective undergraduate students and their families at the Newhouse School. Welcome a wide range of visitors to the Newhouse School, assuring they have a positive experience. Provide daily administrative and organizational support to recruiting team of three staff members. Coordinate and organize variety of projects including mailings, communication plans and events, on campus and off. Work with Newhouse faculty and staff, central Admissions staff and students and parent, domestic and international, to help recruit annual first year class.

Qualifications

Associates degree and three to five years prior experience. Experience in higher education and/or working with students and families helpful.

Job Specific Qualifications

Strong communications and organizational skills essential.

Customer service, project coordination and administrative support experience desired.

Must be a team player and able to adapt to changing situations.

Familiarity with Excel required.

Knowledge of PeopleSoft and social media helpful.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary contact, meet and greet staff members for the Newhouse School’s Visitor’s Center. Welcome visitors, coordinate visits with central Admissions and assist Associate Director and Director of Recruitment in daily prospective visits and presentations.

With Director of Recruitment & Student Engagement, coordinate and help implement communication plans for range of constituents including prospective students, applicants, admitted students and families. Supervise mailings, maintain calendar and ensure timely execution of mailings and additional communication outreach.

Provide support for and participate in the School’s various recruitment activities, fall and spring visiting days, virtual sessions, off campus receptions and other special events.

Assist Associate Director of Recruitment and Diversity with recruitment, training and coordination of student Ambassador program to assist with tours and additional student outreach.
