Opening Details

Launch your career in international education through this challenging 2-year role. The Center for Development Economics (CDE) seeks a Program Coordinator to assist in the administration of our master’s program in economics for future policy-makers from developing nations around the world: https://cde.williams.edu/

Every day you will interact with 30 CDE students from 20+ countries while supporting them through their intensive academic program. Develop problem-solving capacity, guiding CDE fellows to services available on campus and providing assistance directly as part of the CDE staff team. Craft website and social media communications to reach applicants and alumni in more than 100 nations. Hone planning/budgeting/implementation skills in arranging international travel, educational talks, alumni events, and cross-cultural gatherings. Gain proficiency in providing US visa support and in student record keeping. Learn within an experienced, small team running a master’s program recognized for its educational accomplishments by the World Bank, Fulbright Commissions, and foreign governments. You will also provide general office support and complete other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.

The CDE program is located in a restored, historic building on campus. Students, faculty, and staff convene there frequently, often during weekday lunch for the CDE community. While the CDE fellows contribute to the diversity of the student body, Williams College is also strongly committed to enriching its educational experience and culture through the diversity of its faculty and staff. We encourage applications from those who will add to the diversity of the College or have relevant experience building, working with, and supporting an international community.
