Reviews paper & electronic forms for accuracy to ensure VCU, State and Federal policies are being followed and processes information into the VCU and State systems (Banner, PMIS, BES ) within established deadlines.

Uses functional and technical knowledge to provide department HR personnel with general guidance and informal training as needed.

Work closely with other HR Operations Analysts, Payroll, Internal HR and Departments to ensure excellent customer service and timely processing of all transactions.

Provide support, as needed, for the resolution of problems and/or sensitive issues related to HR actions.

Required Qualifications

Ability to provide quality customer service in a professional manner, communicating clearly and confidently, both orally and in writing, with employees at various levels within the organization and with people from diverse backgrounds.

Ability to exercise judgment, take initiative, prioritize work, meet non-negotiable time frames, and pay attention to detail in a time-sensitive, high volume work environment.

Experience and ability to work in an open office and team environment.

Experience with email and Microsoft Office products.

Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU .

Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using HR Information Systems

Experience in higher education and/or state agencies
