Position Summary:
The ResNet Technology Solutions Partner, individually and as part of the ResNet team, serves as the primary technology service representative, and technical advisor for Auxiliary Services and Housing and Residence Life residents and must be responsive, effective, and efficient in communicating with Auxiliary Services staff and students regarding the use of information technology resources. The primary focus of this position is to assist peers by providing excellent customer service skills to document customer questions and requests in person, by phone or by email, and assist the customer with technical questions to diagnose and repair hardware and software or direct the customer to the appropriate ITS group or service.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an information technology role, specifically providing direct customer support.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree or higher in an information technology field.
• CompTIA A+ certification
• MTA: Windows Operating System Fundamentals certification or equivalent.
• Strong customer service orientation with the commitment and drive to provide “first class customer service and support.”
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communications and the ability to communicate to a variety of audiences.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of enterprise network infrastructure and connectivity.
• Experience in Higher Education.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and able to successfully pass a driver’s record check.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, or otherwise move objects weighing up to 50 pounds indoors and outdoors;
• Ability to traverse between buildings, floors within buildings, ladders, and crawl or maneuver in tight spaces.
