Northeastern is a global university and NU-RES supports its team working remotely. Remote locations and work schedules are determined based on operational needs and in consultation with NU-RES team members, consistent with University policies and guidance.
Northeastern University's Research Enterprise Services (NU-RES) provides leadership and expertise to faculty, investigators and administrators, supporting the research and sponsored programs portfolios of the University and its affiliated research institutes.
The NU-RES virtual Hub, a shared administrative and business service unit, assists faculty and research investigators across the University's global research network. The Hub serves as a critical researcher-NU-RES interface and directly supports faculty throughout the proposal-award life cycle. Team members of the Hub provide direct assistance to faculty and research investigators; cross-function support to Hub and NU-RES team members; and work closely with all units reporting to the Senior Vice Provost for Research.
Reporting to the Senior Associate Director, NU-RES Hub, the PA supports the Senior Associate Director and administrators within the Hub, providing general administrative, compliance, operational and systems support for client portfolios.
Responsibilities include: Cross-functional responsibilities include administrative, operational and systems support for the smooth and efficient operation of the Hub; administrative and project management support for client grant & contract portfolios; coordinating meetings, event scheduling, communication and correspondence with clients, data entry, system support and preparing and distributing reports.
Strong interpersonal skills with a strong work ethic. This individual must be self-motivated, able to manage workload independently and as part of a highly accountable team, able to establish priorities and manage multiple ongoing projects with a demonstrated attention to details and outstanding time management skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Solution-oriented with a strong commitment to a positive client experience, providing professional, timely, efficient, and courteous service to clients of the Hub and the University's research community. Cooperative, sense of humor and tolerance for ambiguity helpful. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Qualified to hold DOD security clearance and proximity to one of Northeastern' s global research campuses a plus.
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.
