The Department of Performing Arts: Theatre Division at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga welcomes applications for a full-time, 9 month, annually renewable lecturer position in theatre with expertise in costume design and costume shop management. Salary range is $43,000- $45,000 plus benefits. The Department of Performing Arts: Theatre Division is a NAST accredited program offering a B.A. in Theatre.

Duties include: designing and supervision of the build of costumes for a four show season, teaching Introduction to Theatre as well as courses in area of specialization each semester, mentoring student lab work, costume shop and budget management, and maintaining costume inventory.

Qualifications: MFA in Costume Design is required. Evidence of success in costume design, rendering and sketching, construction skills, basic make-up skills, and an ability to work in a collaborative environment is desired. Prior teaching at the university level is preferred.
