Postdoctoral Fellow - Area Studies

Position Summary:
The Martin Institute and Program in International Studies and the Idaho Society of Fellows is now accepting applications for a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Area Studies to begin July 1, 2021. Fellows will pursue their own research and teach one course per semester.

The unit is particularly interested in recruiting candidates (1) with expertise on contemporary Europe or the Americas, (2) peacebuilding, and (3) whose work complements existing unit initiatives.


Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in an appropriate field required by start of the position.
Regional focus that also includes familiarity with peacebuilding processes (specialization open).


Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching and mentoring students from diverse cultural backgrounds;

Experience and commitment to working with people holding similar or different world views while advocating for inclusion of all people;

Fluency in German or Spanish.
