Direct responsibility and oversight of information technology services network & communications technologies to include core network, network deployment, and network services engineering. Oversight and responsibility for operational planning, design, construction, daily operations, and maintenance of the campus voice, data, and video networking infrastructure. Provides guidance and direction to senior management involved in technology services and programs, which may include networking, development of IT infrastructure, database administration, or system administration.

Pay Plan

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.

Qualifications
Master's degree and five years of experience related to technology services or a Bachelor’s degree and seven years of related experience. Two years of experience must be in a supervisory role.

Ability to apply the principles and practices of strategic planning, development, and evaluation.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Ability to document existing and new processes.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Ability to interface business applications with other systems.

Ability to interpret complex written specifications and conditions.

Ability to utilize problem solving and technical skills.

Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.

Knowledge of standard programming languages, concepts, practices, and procedures within the technology field.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a large, diverse university setting with multiple campuses and a wide variety of network and telecommunications infrastructure.  They will have demonstrated experience in building partnerships with internal university schools, departments, and administration as well as external relationships with local and statewide entities.

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
