Assistant/Associate Project Scientist - Division of Rheumatology, Allergy & Clinical Immunology
The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, is currently recruiting for two full-time basic research position in the Scientist series at the rank of Assistant or Associate. Appointees to the Scientist series are expected to make significant and creative contributions to a research or creative project. This position may engage in University and public service.
The primary responsibilities will be the design and execution of experiments in immunology and autoimmunity, including conducting and managing experimental trials in Type 1 diabetes and Primary biliary cholangitis models, analysis of immune cell populations and their modulation by therapeutic interventions, and the performance of general molecular, immunological and cellular biology techniques including cell culture, ELISA, FACS, western blotting and general laboratory techniques used in the research program. Prompt analysis of all data, using software such as Prism Graphpad, excel and Powerpoint, is also expected, as well as integration of findings into the known scientific literature and presentation of results at weekly lab meetings.
Your primary worksite location will be in the Genome and Biomedical Sciences Facility at 450 Health Sciences Drive, Davis, CA 95616.
