Under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator, the research assistant will be provided a data set that includes nonhuman primates executing a motor task. This independent research study will be to relate the neural activity in premotor and primary motor regions of the brain to kinematic variables. The research assistant will also study how these relationships change when motor areas are compromised. Specifically, the research assistant will analyze how tracking specific commands degrades when motor areas are compromised. These analyses will complement the model development and theory proposed in a larger motor control study.
